Art and Joy Lynn do a special Summer of 2011 preview show. Our CONTEST to win free movie tickets and an Art & Joy t-shirt remains open. TMG rants about Art Festivals and artsy people and wonders why they all look so unhealthy and …frankly, just look bad period. TMG says there are significant exceptions and suggests people try Charlie Podreberac at www.arttogogo.com—great art, humor and fun. Charlie is a great artist…and he still looks healthy! Art suggests the DVD Never Cry Wolf from 1983. While certainly a fast, fun and outrageous guy flick that TMG enjoyed, Fast Five gets the worst film of the week award. We both solidly endorse Prom as the hit of the week and suggest everyone will enjoy no matter the decade you went (or did not go) to Prom. TMG thinks Tom McDonell is the next Johnny Depp. The film, despite cheap writing and cheesy scenes, was fun and not a single F-bomb was dropped. We ran through most of the probable picks for Summer 2011 ranging from The Beaver with Mel Gibson, The Hangover II to Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Emma Stone—-in no less than three films this summer. We then celebrate the life of Brian Dennehy—one of the great character actors of the 1980’s and beyond in film, TV and on stage. We pay tribute to fallen star Timothy Hetherington, the producer of last years incredible documentary, Restrepo. We salute the city of Nome, Alaska in honor of our DVD of the week, Never Cry Wolf, and play “plot and movie” with a wolf theme.
