Art and Joy bring Mitch back in once again for their special Oscar nominations show. Mitch helps them analyze Stranger Than Fiction, the Will Ferrell comedy from 2006. We thought many folks missed this film and passed it off as too silly. It was actually a great dramatic role for Ferrell and full of messages. Rent it anywhere on DVD. We had no argument taking aim at The Rite and The Mechanic as the worst four hours in filmdom this past week. We then launch into a full open segment on our review of the Oscar nominations. You have to listen in to get our perspectives and where the Academy is right and just way off base. Sir Anthony Hopkins is our star of the week. We salute Kimberling City, Missouri—a town near where Winter’s Bone was filmed but a very nice side of Missouri. We pay tribute to zany comedian Charlie Callas who died this week at the age of 83. We play some dead or alive, trivia with Mitch and more.
